rest reflections
Are you moving?
It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop ...
Cut yourself some slack ...
Life at the moment is fascinating, frustrating, exhausting, bizarre, emotional, challenging, and more.
I’m sure that when you look back, the lessons and learnings will become clear.
One thing to know for sure ...
We all need to cut ourselves some slack!
Where are YOU on your to do list?
Try putting yourself at the top of your to do list and see how things start to fall into place.
Buckets of rest and water ...
Who are you?
Who are you ... ... tense or relaxed?
How often in the last week have you unintentionally created tension in your life?
Lay down your burden ... and rest
One of the best feelings is being able to really rest when weary. To be able to stop, without feeling guilty, and just ‘be’.
We all carry burdens. Most are unseen to the outside world. And a lot go unrecognised …
That is why it is such a relief when you find something or somewhere you can leave these burdens at the door, lay down and rest; without expectation or guilt, and just ‘be’. Somewhere you can be passive, but in the most positive sense: ‘accepting or allowing without active response or resistance.’
What is rest ... and why is it so important?
The fast pace of life and the demands of work and family can place rest at the bottom of your priorities (or, if you’re truly honest, it never even enters your mind).
Doing 'restful' things, like lying on the couch, watching tv or scrolling through your social media, doesn’t always feel restful either.
And sleep, the most obvious form of rest, does not always leave you rested.
So what is rest?
Don't hang your head down
I often find music articulates my feelings far better than the conversations in my head (!) and this week I received a message from the universe to keep going (even as I have doubts about my path) and wondered if it would help you too x
Tension is who you think you should be ...
Tension is who you think you should be ...
Relaxation is who you are.
